TECHNICAL
Technical information, clearly stated.
Soliston is a developing window system. This page separates current specifications, modelled performance, completed verification and work that is still in progress.
Detailed and revision-controlled information will be provided in the Soliston Technical Overview.
A living technical document.
The Soliston Technical Overview will be dated and revision-controlled so architects, manufacturers and project partners can see exactly which information is current.
It will distinguish confirmed specifications from development targets and will be updated as testing and industrialisation progress.
The document will include
Window types and configurations
Current size limits
Glazing options
Materials and finishes
Thermal modelling
Locking and operation
Power, sensing and connectivity
Testing and certification status
Installation and servicing
Development roadmap
Performance designed into the geometry
Soliston’s frame construction, glazing position and deep insulated recess are designed as one thermal system. The purpose is to control heat flow without making the visible window heavier or compromising the frameless interior.
Every published result will identify the glazing value, representative window size, modelling assumptions and whether the result is calculated or independently verified.
Until complete-window testing and certification are finished, modelled figures will always be described as modelled—not certified.

Technology designed to remain serviceable
Soliston’s concealed service space gives locking, electronics and connections a protected and accessible place within the window construction.
Functions can be installed, serviced, replaced or upgraded without disturbing the interior architecture. Manual operation remains available independently of the connected functions.
Current system capabilities
Manual and electronic unlocking
Open and closed state awareness
Locked and unlocked state awareness
Moisture monitoring
Battery or wired power
Zigbee and wired connectivity
Connections for future functions
WHAT WE ARE WORKING ON
From pilot to production
Current development is focused on turning the installed pilot system into a documented, repeatable and independently verified industrial product.
The priorities will evolve as testing, manufacturing preparation and selected first projects provide new information.
Current development priorities
Industrial production methods
Full performance testing and documentation
Certification for target markets
Soft-close and assisted operation
Automatic opening functions
Integrated lighting and accessory connections
Expanded sensing and connected functions
Verification status
Technical status should be unambiguous. Soliston separates completed work from active verification and future requirements.
This section will always reflect the latest dated revision of the Soliston Technical Overview.
COMPLETED
Preliminary air-permeability, watertightness and wind-load testing based on EN 1026, EN 1027 and EN 12211, together with thermal modelling, completed with encouraging results.
IN PROGRESS
Testing with full documentation, performance verification, preparation for industrial production and certification are currently underway.
PLANNED
Testing and approvals required for the intended products and target markets.
